Day 1: Arrive in South Africa
Distance: 0-50km
Highlights: Day Tour of Pretoria
You will be met at JHB International Airport by a Sama representative who will transfer you to your Pretoria Lodge, where your motorcycle awaits. For those arriving early, a tour of Pretoria on motorcycle will be arranged. There will be a welcome dinner at the lodge and after the Tour briefing, the evening will be spent making new friends and enjoying the African evening.

Day 2: Pretoria To Hazyview
Distance: 400km
Highlights: Scenic mountain passes, Long Tom Cannons
After a delicious breakfast we leave for Hazyview taking the scenic route via De Berg pass (highest tar road in Mpumulanga) and the Long Tom Pass. Hazyview is right in the heart of Mpumulanga and makes an ideal base for exploring the magnificent surrounds. Your accommodation for the next two nights is surrounded by indigenous bush and overlooks a breathtaking river. Take in the African Sunset as you sip a well deserved cooler on the main deck.

Day 3: Panorama route
Distance: +- 250km
Highlights: God's Window, Moholoholo Rehab Centre, Bourkes luck potholes, The Three Rondavels, Waterfalls, Magical View Sites
Today we EXPLORE the Panorama Route. We take the well ridden tourists routes that whiz us past waterfalls, magical view sites (God's Window to the World) and spectacular rock formations. We will stop en route to have a delicious meal at a local restaurant, after which we will visit the Moholoholo Rehab centre, an animal hospital that helps to save many endangered animals.

Day 4: Hazyview to Swaziland
Distance: +-300km
Highlights: Kingdom of Swaziland
Today we leave South Africa and make our way into SWAZILAND. The Swazi people are a friendly nation and their smiles will welcome you down into Ezulwini Valley (the valley of Heaven). Your accommodation for the evening is at the famous ROYAL SWAZI SPA. Here you can take a dip in a natural hot spring or book your aching –motorcycle- riding body in for a delightful Spa treatment. There are many delicious restaurants in the valley and the craft stalls have a wide range of traditional Swazi artwork at excellent prices.

Day 5&6: Swaziland to Hluhluwe
Distance: +- 330km
Highlights: Relaxing drive through African Countryside
We drive down through the Kingdom of Swaziland to arrive in the ZULU kingdom (Kwazulu Natal, South Africa) Our trusty motorcycles take us past sugar cane fields to an area where the bush is wild! For the next two nights we will be staying in a game reserve & spa bordering the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi National Park, close to the Natural Heritage site of St. Lucia. We sleep in luxurious Safari Tents, and a true African experience is guaranteed. Activities available in the reserve include game drives, boat cruises, horse trails and game walks. If you would like to venture out of the park, whale watching boat rides, big game fishing, and sunset river cruises to view hippos, crocs and other estuary wildlife are available in St. Lucia.

Day 7: Hluhluwe to Simunye Zulu Lodge
Distance: +- 220 km
Highlights: Zulu Village life, African dancing, Traditional african food
Making our way through ancient battlefields, we arrive at the entrance to the SIMUNYE cultural village. Here we bid our motorcycles farewell and either board a horse or donkey cart or an ox wagon, which will transport us to a Zulu village, our home for the evening. Here you will be able to experience the Zulu way of life. You can visit the Sangoma (traditional African healer), enjoy the vibrant African dancing or attend a tribal ceremony. Sit spellbound round the fire as Zulu legends unfold and the rhythmic drumbeat of Africa fills the night. Soak in your very own steaming rock bath and drift off to sleep in stone-walled rooms to the tranquil sounds of Zululand…

Day 8: Simunye to Midlands Meander
Distance: +- 350 km
Highlights: Old country roads, meandering farmlands and fresh country air
After departing the Zulu Village we make our way up into the countryside and the area known as the Midlands Meander. This area has timeless beauty with it's country roads lining the way to farmlands, breweries, craft shops and quaint little farm stalls. Tonight we will be indulging our senses at a lovely country estate………….

Day 9: Midlands Meander to Port S. Johns
Distance: +- 500 km
Highlights: Drakensburg mountain range, Breathtaking passes
After an early breakfast we head to the Wild Coast– where our famous Madiba – former president Nelson Mandela - was born. You will see why this region is called the Wild Coast – endless un spoilt sandy beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see make this destination well worth a visit.

Day 10: Port St. Johns to East London
Distance: +- 340 km
Highlights: Relaxing on the beach
After an early breakfast we make our way further down the coast to arrive in the Buffalo City. East London is a wonderful holiday destination with stunning warm beaches, great surf and sunny days. Our accommodation for the evening overlooks the beach. There are breathtaking sea views from every room, and the hospitality of the owners make this stopover an unforgettable experience…

Day 11 & 12: East London to Lalibela
Distance: +- 240 km
Highlights: Luxury Safari, Big 5
Today is one of the major highlights of the Spa's and Safaris Tour….. We make our way inland to a spectacular private Safari Reserve, which is home to the Big Five: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo roam freely. We will park our Bikes at the main entrance and be transported via safari vehicle to our secluded camp- where we will spend the next two days embarking on game drives, relaxing on the deck by the pool and eating exquisite safari cuisine.

Day 13: Lalibela to Knysna
Distance: +- 450 km
Highlights: Bloukrans River Gorge, Phantom Pass
After an early breakfast, we depart for Knysna- the start of the world famous Garden Route. the roads in this part of the country are utterly spectacular and we will stop en-route at the Bloukrans river gorge- a breathtaking canyon that hosts the worlds highest Bungee Jump -214 m of pure adrenalin. Those of us brave enough can attempt the jump, before we depart for our accommodation for the next three nights- Tree houses, Moroccan rooms and elevated wooden walkways with endless views are the order of the day. Your stay will include two luxury massages and two 6 course gourmet dinners at an award winning restaurant. Time to indulge in all things African…

Day 14: Knysna- Garden Route- Knysna
Distance: +- 250 km
Highlights: Garden Route, Ostrich Farms, Cango Caves and Spectacular Mountain Passes
Today we enjoy the spectacular scenery and twisting mountain passes of the world famous Garden Route. Around every corner there is a breathtaking view. We visit an Ostrich farm where you can ride ostriches, feed them or buy their HUGE eggs. Later we visit the Cango Caves to explore underground wonders- returning to Knysna in the late afternoon.

Day 15: Knysna Rest Day
Distance: +- 0-50 km
Highlights: Exploring Knysna, relaxing on the beach or sailing to the Knysna heads
Today is set aside for your discretion. You can relax at the lodge, ride the beautiful mountain passes in the area for a second time, go sailing along the coast or visit the Knysna Elephants. There is so much to experience! Sama will happily pre-book any activities for you……..

Day 15: Knysna to Franschoek
Distance: +- 450 km
Highlights: Route 62, Folding mountain passes, the Cape Winelands
After an early breakfast we make our way over the Outeniqua Pass to the start of Route 62. The road winds through the Swartberg Mountains and the beautiful foothills in their valleys. This area is famous for its Winelands. We make our way to the heart of Franschoek where we will be staying in a luxurious hotel and spa surrounded by vineyards.

Day 16: Franschoek- Cape Point- Cape Town
Distance: +- 250 km
Highlights: Explore the beautiful coastal roads and attractions of Cape Town
Today its time to ride through South Africa's Mother City. As we enter the city, you will be amazed at view of Table Mountain. We start with a ride over Chapmans Peak, a beautiful twisting road, with cliffs on one side and clear blue ocean on the other. Next up is a stop at Boulders Beach to laugh at the antics of the penguins surfing in the waves. After that we make our way to Cape Point- the most South-Westerly point of Africa (look out for whales). Tonight we sleep in Cape Town and go out for our farewell dinner at one of Cape Town's best restaurants.

Day 17: End of tour

Sadly your tour of South Africa has come to an end. We guarantee that you will take home loads of awesome photographs and fond memories of South Africa and the warm people you have met. Transfers will be arranged to the airport.
