John Rice and his wife Brenda- the lucky winners of the 10 Day Motorcycle Tour of South Africa

This year was the first year that Sama Tours attended the BMW MOA Rally, and WHAT a rally it was. For those of you that don’t know, the Bmw MOA rally took place in Johnson City Tennessee from the 16-19 July this year. The roads in the area were fantastic.

Over 600 rally participants visited our stand and entered the lucky draw to win a 10 Day Motorcycle Train tour of South Africa. Out of all those names we selected one lucky winner

Upon notifying John Rice that he had won the prize, he said:

"I am astounded by the news. I'm one of those who never wins anything...or so I thought !"

His wife Brenda is joining him, and they have decided to enjoy their free tour from the 09-19 February 2010.

On the first half we visit Mpumalanga- an area known to bikers as "Motorcycling paradise" the long sweeping mountain passes of the region will blow your mind. Imagine Blue Ridge Parkway- just higher! The whole region is dotted with beautiful viewpoints, incredible waterfalls and breathtaking canyons.

The next stop on the tour is the Mountain Kingdom of Swaziland. This small landlocked country is rural and undeveloped. As you ride along, you will see why the Swazi people are known for their smiles.

On the second half of the tour we take a "Trans Karoo" train journey to Cape Town.

We are sure that when the creator made the earth, he decided to put Cape Town in, especially for us bikers. The roads here are unbelievable. Around every corner, there is a view of the endless Atlantic ocean. The mountains and wine regions surrounding the mother city are breathtaking

We stay at one central location for the 4 Days that we are in Cape Town and every day we do a different route around the Cape.

On the last day, we have the option to visit Cape Agulhas- the Southern Most Tip of Africa- a definite highlight
